Linking ESL strategies to SLA theory: A three-part webinar series by Dr. Juli Sarris and doctoral candidate Tamara Milbourn sponsored by CoTESOL

  • Free registration for CoTESOL members, but seating is limited!

  • CoTESOL’s webinars are aligned to the CLDE standards and support the attainment of the 45 hours of CLDE professional development required for CDE teacher license renewal.  Participants will receive a certificate upon completing the webinar and a copy of the CDE CLDE Teacher Matrix prefilled with the training alignment.

  

Webinar 2:  Linking ESL strategies to SLA theory: Psychological aspects

Attendees engage in teaching strategies grounded in psychological theories of language learning, including motivation and self-efficacy.  Attendees analyze strategies to connect each strategy to theory. Attendees leave with the theoretical framework needed to evaluate the effectiveness and applicability of new teaching strategies they learn in the future.
